Football is right around the corner. Please come to get your football equipment
July 22nd Thursday night from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Alverthorpe Park. This equipment pick up is for the non competitive 70, 80 ,90 lb teams. Remember to bring report cards and other missing paper work (copy of birth certificate, medical form) there is a 20.00 equipment fee (it will be refunded when equipment is returned).

Next week Wednesday July 28th 6:00p pm to 8:00pm at Alverthorpe Park is for anyone who has missed their original date.

I just received an email, and I thought I would share it with every body. It is about  a young man who spent a few years as a Raider. Link to his Bio

"Hi Kevin,

I just wanted to update you on NIck's progress.  He is currently a red-shirt freshman at Florida State University and is second on the depth chart at the rover position. I would like to forward a current photo and let you know that you can follow his progress on Warchant.com.  He played in his first nationally televised college game  on ESPN against University of Miami this past Monday, 7 Sept 09.  He is #10.

Nick got his football start with the Abington Raiders and our gratitude goes out to all the coaches, but in particular Bill Hack, Sr., John Geiger and Jordan Ewell. These three coaches always believed in Nick's ability and dedication to the game and gave him an opportunity to develop his skills, think the game and follow the rules of good sportsmanship.  That is such an important foundation for a young athlete.
